Videhus System

Hvidehus is a treatment center owned and operated by Länkens Kamratförbund. Their target group is adult substance abusers with alcohol, drug, medication, and mixed substance abuse problems. They accept men and women, as well as couples. They also accept clients under §27. They work based on the National Guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare with motivation-enhancing treatment (MET), CBT-based relapse prevention (ÅP), and community reinforcement approach (CRA). They also offer groups in anxiety management, theme groups, grief processing, and NADA ear acupuncture. The goal of the treatment is to provide clients with the tools they need to change their current life situation in a safe environment. Each client has regular individual MI conversations with their contact person. They offer individual support for each client based on their needs, as physical and psychological difficulties associated with substance abuse often cause problems in everyday life. This can include contact with various agencies and authorities regarding health, finances, housing, or employment. Hvidehus is located in a scenic area within walking distance of Lake Anten with its bathing area and castle ruins. They have a varied selection of activities to restore physical well-being. There are beautiful walking paths, a large gym, solarium, pool table, ping pong table, greenhouse, mini golf course, boules court, a small kiosk with sweets/ice cream/tobacco/hygiene items, etc., and a carpentry workshop. In the summer, they put their boat in Anten for those interested in fishing or just wanting to relax on the lake.
