Hallands Hamnar AB is a company jointly owned by the municipalities of Halmstad and Varberg, offering comprehensive solutions in the areas of ports, terminals, and transport services. Hallands Hamnar Halmstad offers first-class service for most types of goods, such as containers, bulk, cars, paper, sawn timber, timber, liquid bulk, and roll-on-roll-off. Together with Hallands Hamnar Varberg, the ports are the region's logistics center and among Sweden's ten largest ports, aiming to strengthen regional development. They handle various goods from containers and RoRo to forest products and liquid bulk, and are a key player in handling recycling materials such as metal scrap and plastic fractions, as well as imported metal and steel raw materials for the Swedish industry. They offer direct access to the North Sea and the Atlantic, providing frequent vessel departures to and from key European ports like Antwerp and Hamburg, as well as regular lines to destinations in the Nordic countries, the UK, the US, and beyond. Hallands Hamnar is expanding, including the development of Oceanhamnen in Halmstad for container and bulk goods.
